Terms of Service

1. Purpose

These Terms of Service (hereafter "Terms") govern the use of the LeCV service, accessible at lecv.app (hereafter "the Service"), published by Gabriel Gauffre (hereafter "the Publisher").

By creating an account or using the Service, you accept these Terms without reservation.

2. Service Description

LeCV is an online service for creating CVs and cover letters aimed at the French job market. The Service offers:

• CV creation with five professional templates
• Cover letter creation
• AI-powered writing assistance
• Document export in PDF and Word formats
• Import and analysis of existing CVs

3. Registration and Account

3.1. Registration Requirements

Using the Service requires creating an account. Registration is reserved for individuals aged 18 and over.

3.2. Account Creation

You can create an account by email (with email verification) or via Google OAuth. You agree to provide accurate information and to maintain the confidentiality of your credentials.

3.3. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for all activity under your account. In case of unauthorized use, contact us immediately at support@lecv.app.

4. Use of the Service

4.1. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service:

• In accordance with its intended purpose (creating CVs and cover letters)
• In compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Without attempting to circumvent the technical limitations of the Service

4.2. Prohibited Uses

It is prohibited to:

• Use the Service to generate illegal, fraudulent, or misleading content
• Attempt to access other users' accounts
• Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access the Service
• Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
• Intentionally overload the servers

5. Intellectual Property

5.1. User Content

You retain full intellectual property rights to the content you create through the Service (CVs, cover letters). LeCV does not claim any rights to your content.

5.2. Service and Platform

The Service (source code, design, CV templates, features) is the exclusive property of the Publisher and is protected by intellectual property laws. Any unauthorized reproduction or use is prohibited.

6. Artificial Intelligence

The Service uses artificial intelligence (OpenAI GPT-5) to assist with writing CVs and cover letters.

Disclaimer: AI-generated content is provided as a writing aid. It may contain errors, inaccuracies, or inappropriate wording. It is your responsibility to review, correct, and validate all AI-generated content before using it. The Publisher cannot be held liable for AI-generated content.

7. Plans and Pricing

7.1. Free Plan

The Free plan allows you to create one CV and one cover letter with the Classic template. AI assistance and premium templates are not included.

7.2. Paid Plans

LeCV offers two paid passes (prices include VAT):

• Essential Pass: €9.99 — access to all features for 30 days
• Pro Pass: €19.99 — access to all features for 90 days

Passes are one-time purchases with no subscription or automatic renewal. When a pass expires, the account reverts to the Free plan. CVs and letters created remain accessible.

7.3. Payment

Payments are securely processed by Stripe. We accept credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, etc.).

8. Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with French Consumer Code (Article L. 221-28), the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for contracts for the supply of digital content not provided on a tangible medium, where performance has begun with the consumer's express prior consent and acknowledgment of the loss of the right of withdrawal.

By purchasing a pass and immediately using the premium features, you expressly acknowledge and agree to waive your 14-day right of withdrawal.

9. Legal Guarantees

In accordance with the French Consumer Code (Articles L. 217-3 et seq.), you benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity for the digital content provided.

In case of a lack of conformity, you may request that the Service be brought into conformity or, failing that, a price reduction or contract termination under the conditions provided by law.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Publisher shall not be held liable for:

• Content created by users or generated by AI
• The use made of generated CVs and cover letters
• Temporary service interruptions for maintenance or updates
• Malfunctions related to third-party services (Stripe, OpenAI, etc.)
• Data loss resulting from circumstances beyond its control

The Service is provided "as is." The Publisher commits to implementing the necessary means to ensure the proper functioning of the Service, without guarantee of result.

11. Service Availability

The Publisher strives to maintain the Service accessible 24/7 but does not guarantee any uptime rate. The Service may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or force majeure.

12. Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@lecv.app. Account deletion results in the deletion of all your data (CVs, letters, personal information).

The Publisher reserves the right to suspend or delete an account in case of violation of these Terms.

13. Mediation

In case of a dispute, you may use the free consumer mediation service. The competent mediator will be communicated at a later date. You may also file your complaint on the European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by French law. In case of a dispute and in the absence of an amicable resolution, French courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory jurisdiction rules applicable to consumers.

15. Modification of Terms

The Publisher reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be notified to users by email or through a visible notice on the site. Continued use of the Service after notification constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
